1. Getting Content (The Website)
Browse Categories
Visit DesktopHut.com and explore your collection. Use the search bar for specific themes like Anime, Gaming, Nature, or Sci-Fi.
Watch Preview
Open any wallpaper page and preview the live loop before downloading so visitors can quickly verify quality and style.
Download File
Click the download button to save the wallpaper as an .mp4 video file. After that, it’s ready to import into the app.
2. DesktopHut for Windows
Your Windows app is designed to stay lightweight and can pause automatically while gaming so animated wallpapers do not interfere with performance.
Add Wallpaper
Open the app, go to the Library tab, click Add Wallpaper, and select the video file downloaded from your website.
Dual Monitors
When you click Play, choose Per Display for separate wallpapers on each monitor, or Set on All to sync them.
Customize
Use the edit or wand controls on a wallpaper card to adjust speed, brightness, contrast, hue, and audio settings.
Performance Tip for Gamers
Go to the Settings tab and enable Low Resource Mode on older PCs. Also make sure wallpapers are set to pause when another app enters fullscreen mode.
Black Screen Issue?
If the wallpaper appears as a black screen, it is usually related to the current rendering engine or codec path.
- Open the app Settings.
- Find Wallpaper Engine.
- Switch from MPV to Electron, or the other way around.
- Restart the application.
3. DesktopHut for Android

1. Transfer File
Download the wallpaper directly on your phone, or move the video file from your PC into your phone gallery or storage.
2. Select Video
Open the app and tap Choose Video From Phone, then select the .mp4 wallpaper you downloaded.
3. Apply
Tap Set as Live Wallpaper and choose whether to apply it to the home screen only or to both home and lock screens.
Battery Saver Features
In the Android app settings, enable Pause on Battery Saver so animation stops when power is low. You can also enable quick pause gestures if supported by your build.
